Enter the magical world of Thomas the Tank Engine &
Friends at the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway. Meet, touch and ride behind the famous blue engine. Ride in a carriage pulled by either Thomas, Gordon or Henry. Say hello to Sir Topham Hat, The Fat Controller and help him organise jobs at the station.

July 1 Reculver Family Fete Herne Bay
This event is partnered with Kent Wildlife Trust’s Tour de Fish cycle ride, which is on the same day and is where the riders will finish and receive their medals. It promises a fun day out for all the family with lots of free activities including arts and crafts, seashore safari and rock pooling.
July 7 - 8 Steam and Beer Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway
After enjoying the short steam train ride to Kemsley Down, visitors will be able to enjoy a large selection of real ales and ciders from around the UK. Live music and trains late into the night on Saturday and family day on Sunday.
July 8 Darling Buds Classic Car Show Buss Farm, Bethersden.
From 10 am to 4 pm, classic car enthusiasts, owners, and members of the public can enjoy a “perfick” family day out in the heart of the Kent countryside. Gates open at 9am and an estimated 900-plus classic vehicles are expected at this year’s show. This exclusive location was used in the making of television series The Darling Buds of May, and this is the only time that the farm is open to the public. This year’s show will include: Pop Larkin’s yellow Rolls Royce, The Woodchurch Morris Men, children’s rides, a classic baby carriage display, live music, craft stalls, food for all tastes, a visit by the Kent Air Ambulance helicopter (operational circumstances permitting), plus a licensed bar.
July 13 - 15 Kent County Show Detling, nr Maidstone
Kent's largest outdoor event offers something for all the family. It includes showjumping, livestock, arena displays, shopping, trade stands, food and drink.
