Wayne McGregor and Random Dance and the fiery mass of red curls that is synonymous with So You Think You Can Dance winner Charlie Bruce.

whippersnappers from SLP College who entertained with a Lindy Hopping swing piece and the Bird Collegiates who inspired by Tim Burton put on a show of West End proportions complete with a very convincing Edward Scissorhands. It was quirky, creative and clever. Then there was the impromptu dance off I caught pitting toddler against full-grown man, both were equally as good as the other.

As for the dance classes, everything was covered from Burlesque and Fosse to Vogue. And with star instructors like Sean Cheeseman at the helm (Dirty Dancing Time of Your Life) it was standing room only in most classes. They did come at an added cost though, with tickets starting from a fiver.

Be you dancer or not MOVE IT is a great place to be inspired even if only to get active. I’ve

always had the dancer’s bug so thanks to MOVE IT for fuelling that fire. Expect to see me back at my local salsa class toute suite!
