04 EVENT REVIEW What you missed!


Last year Adam Garcia had the moves like Jagger so this year I couldn’t wait to see what MOVE IT 2013 had in store.


Kensington Olympia was once again transformed into a dancer’s haven with performance schools, dancewear brands, massage stands, beauty booths and even teeth whiteners taking up the floor of the main hall. The MAOAM stage made a welcome return complete with last year’s host to bring crowds freebies, sweeties and a dance comp! The MAOAM stage played host to a pretty sick competition, winnings were


an iPad mini and performing alongside Bobby Dazzler’s Dance Co at Buckingham Palace. I didn’t see all the whizz kid contenders, but due to what I think was divine intervention I did witness phenomenon JSteps’ pop locking performance. The kid had moves to rival Akai with the showmanship to boot.


The showy routines were saved for the main stage though with ex PCD’er and current Got


To Dance judge Kimberley Wyatt (so miffed I missed that performance, serves me right for arriving after 2), Wayne McGregor and Random Dance and the fiery mass of red curls that is synonymous with So You Think You Can Dance winner Charlie Bruce. She treated us to an emotive routine that mirrored both fiery hair and background.
