Luciana Pellegrino, Vice President luciana.pellegrino@abre.org.br

At WPO we understand that packaging reflects in a very precise way the cultural, social and economic aspects of a society. Each one of us, as board members, bring our own vision and experience to achieve one single goal, promote better packaging coping with the market criterias and social and environmental requirements. The growth of the FMCG market brings more demands on packaging efficiency over its practical and emotional performance. Packaging became the icon of each brand and a strong tool to captivate consumers. Innovation is a path to be ever pursued and packaging as a marketing tool, brings to our industry new possibilities of adding real value with smart, fun and useful solutions.

Gordon Stewart, Vice President gordon.stewart@iom3.org

I am the WPO Vice President responsible for education. This is an area in which I have spent all my professional life and to which I am passionately committed. The role of the WPO in promoting education in packaging, especially with those communities across the globe where the need for better packaging is so critical to social and economic development, is perhaps the most important part of the WPO’s work. Many who enter WorldStar may not realise that this generates revenue for the WPO to support its education initiatives and therefore we are extremely grateful to all WorldStar entrants for their continuing help.
