The WorldStar Awards for packaging design excellence continue to grow in importance and prestige around the world. Every year, the WPO Board of
Directors takes the time to review and recognise the best of the best in packaging design. Some of the designs are aesthetically pleasing, beautiful in many cases, in terms of market appeal. Some are highly functional and effective in terms of product protection. And some help us strive toward an ever more sustainable society using innovative materials and clever application of more familiar materials.
When the judging is finished, it is easy to reflect on the time and effort that the designers put into their profession. It is an amazing process and the WPO Board of Directors considers it an honour to be involved in it.
Unfortunately not every entry wins an
award. But they too should be no less proud of what they have accomplished. After all, they each won a national or regional award in order to be sanctioned to enter the WorldStar Awards competition!
