Donations made by the ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION ($35,000), FRIENDS OF THE CANYON HILLS LIBRARY ($7,200), and FRIENDS OF THE ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY ($1,500) provided additional Early Literacy Stations to all libraries, promoting increased literacy among youth.
Construction of new Quiet Study Rooms at the Canyon Hills Library was made possible by the FRIENDS OF THE CANYON HILLS LIBRARY ($9,000), ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION ($5,700), and EBELL CLUB OF CANYON HILLS ($5,715).
REPUBLIC SERVICES, INC. made a generous $5,000 contribution in support of the annual Recognition Luncheon, Pearson Park Amphitheatre, Youth Scholarships, and Summer VolunTeen programs.
The DISNEYLAND RESORT contributed a total of $2,250 towards the Anaheim Sister City program, West Anaheim Neighborhood Development Council, and the annual Recognition Luncheon.
ANAHEIM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH made in-kind donations totaling $2,462 which provided emergency assistance to needy families through food vouchers, rental assistance, gift cards, medical prescriptions, eyeglasses, and school uniforms.
SERVICE CHAMPIONS HEATING AND AIR made the winter season brighter for over 1,100 members of case-managed families by providing holiday meals for a total in-kind donation valued at $6,000.
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GAS COMPANY ($2,500), AECOM TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION ($2,500), ANAHEIM PUBLIC UTILITIES ($2,500), HILL INTERNATIONAL ($2,000), and CC MYERS, INC. CHARITABLE FOUNDATION ($1,000) made much-appreciated contributions to the Anaheim Public Library’s Road to Reading program associated with the dedication of the Gene Autry Way Overpass.
MS. MARY HIRAHARA generously donated $1,000 to fund an exhibit profiling Frank Hirahara’s contributions to the aerospace industry at the Anaheim Heritage Center.

The Pearson Park Amphitheatre Summer Nights Under the Stars Series received $1,000 in support from the SHEILA GOLD FOUNDATION; providing low-cost, family oriented entertain- ment at this historic outdoor venue.
The INSTITUTO PARA LA MUJER DE HOY provided an eight-week instructional series at the Ponderosa Park Family Resource Center for women who have been victims of domestic violence.
