Concentrations: You have the option to pursue a concentration in a specific humen service area of interest. You may wish to check with your campus of choice to confirm concentration offerings as additional offerings may become available.
Addiction Studies: The burgeoning problems of abuse and addiction throughout the United States require professional addiction counselors trained to work with individuals, groups, and communities. The School’s concentration is designed to prepare men and women for professional service to meet these needs.

Community Youth Development and Leadership: Developing the knowledge, attributes, and skills necessary for creating opportunities for young people to grow into healthy, productive, and contributing members of their communities, students in this concentration explore creative transformational approaches to youth work.

Criminal Justice:
This concentration is designed to empower the criminal justice practitioner to advocate for constructive and meaningful change within the criminal justice system. We embrace a collaborative effort between the community and those charged with administrative justice within the community.

Early Childhood Education: Whether currently employed in this field or interested in joining, students in this concentration become proficient in methods of supporting families and empowering communities in the interests of their youngest members. Two tracks are available: classroom-based for teachers and administration for administrators.

Education:
This concentration enables adults to explore the field of education, focus on education as an avenue for change, and gain a broad range of knowledge on the undergraduate level. The curriculum is designed to be supplemented by post-baccalaureate studies toward the passing of the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensing.
