Master of Science

This graduate program develops leaders who can successfully address human problems within communities. The program can be completed in 16 to 24 months, depending upon the student’s chosen concentration. Through a focus on social analysis, critical and creative thinking, and leadership and professional skill development, master’s students prepare to lead their communities forward as:

• Executive directors of community-based organizations and human services agencies

• Managers, supervisors, or administrators in the public sector, governmental agencies, or volunteer organizational settings

• Practitioners in direct service delivery, consultant firms, or organizational administration

• Counselors working toward successful interventions affecting people and their communities

“The support that I received from the faculty and students was amazing. The result is New Horizons, which has become integral to the human services network in Holyoke [Mass.]. It took determination and focus, but my knowledge and credentials made it possible.”

Felicita Lopez, M.S.’12 Founder, New Horizons Family Community Center
