Building upon the mission of the College, the School of Human Services’ mission is to provide broadly accessible higher education in human services for adult learners that embodies the principles of Humanics, community partnership, and academic excellence to achieve social and economic justice.
What is Humanics?
Symbolized by the equilateral triangle in the Springfield College logo, Humanics refers to the ideal of a balanced individual. The ancient Greeks called this concept Humanics, and it is the underlying philosophy of the Springfield College experience. We are dedicated not only to your personal growth and professional development, but also to your desire to serve in leadership roles to effect positive, meaningful change in the lives of others and the communities in which they live.
