March 31 – April 1 Medway Festival of Steam and Transport


The Historic Dockyard, Chatham Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of steam as traction engines and locomotives rumble by. Enjoy classic vehicles grouped by decade, live folk and blues music, shire horse wagon rides and even take a trip on a vintage bus. Plus, for this weekend only, the unique opportunity to walk around the special 1950s set-dressed location for the popular TV drama series ‘Call the Midwife’.

April 1 – May 31 Blossom Celebration,


Brogdale Farm, Faversham Celebrate the delights of blossom at Brogdale through April and May. The orchards are a beautiful sight to see and the farm boasts exceptional ornamental cherry blossom. The array of blossoming fruits grown, including apples, pears, plums and apricots ensures an extended duration of blossom as they all flower at different times. Weather dependant.


April 2-12 Kids for a Quid, Kent & East Sussex Railway,


Tenterden For just £1, children aged three to 15 years can enjoy the railway all day, plus take a free Easter Trail at Bodiam Castle. Travel is limited to two ‘kids for a quid’ per full day Rover fare paying adult or senior. To book call 01580 765155.

Easter Bunny Hunt, Capstone Farm Country Park, Gillingham Track the bunny through the park with a fun quiz trail. There will be a small prize for every child who enters. Suitable for accompanied children aged four to 12 years.


April 4 - 6 Gurkha Festival of Music The Nye Hall, The Duke of York's Royal Military School, Dover A fantastic and colourful evening of entertainment when the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas presents its 14th Annual Festival of Music. The band will be joined on stage by the pipes of the 1st Battlion Royal Gurkha Rifles, The band of the Army Air Corp, the Dancers of the Dover Nepalese Community, singers Teresa De Roberto and Sgt Gary Chilton and an appearance by the Shorncliffe Military Wives Choir. April 13 -14 Grandparents Weekend, Kent & East Sussex Railway, Tenterden Take a nostalgic steam train journey with your grandparents. Throughout the weekend one grandparent will travel free with one fare-paying child.
