Making money talk... WITH few indications that the nation’s economic condition is about to improve, our interview with Sandra Matthews Marsh is attached with financial relevance alongside personal insight.

As chief executive of Visit Kent, Sandra’s role is to promote tourism in the Garden of England, which, with its irresistible combination of beautiful countryside, historic palaces and buildings, quaint villages, bustling towns and excellent communication links makes hers a position full of great opportunities.

Her job will be helped by a nice bout of sunny spring weather to encourage those who hibernated throughout the winter to get out and enjoy the many attractions on their doorstep.

Over the next few pages you will see plenty of ideas, including a number of events over Easter and other annual outdoor events.

Our Town Profile looks at Sittingbourne, which is set for an exciting future with a £300million regeneration scheme on the agenda. The town already has plenty to offer and there are also a number of charming villages nearby to make this part of the county a lovely place to spend time and explore.

If you fancy improving your fitness at the same time as raising money for good causes, page 24 gives a full rundown of charity walks in the county. With each year the popularity of these events increase and it is truly heart- warming how so many people are keen to take time out from their daily routines to benefit others.
