Egyptian Day, Chiddingstone Castle and Gardens A fun day for the whole family to learn the mysteries of ancient Egypt. There will be a children's workshop led by the castle’s very own ancient Egyptian character, an 'A to Z of Ancient Egypt' talk by the Sussex Egyptology Society, a belly dancing demonstration, craft activities and lots more. Admission costs apply (£8 adults, £4 children aged between five and 13).

April 20 Keep it Local Craft Fair, Crowborough Community


Centre, Pine Grove, Crowborough This event is part of a series of Keep It Local craft events being held across the South East. The stallholders are genuine crafts people with handmade local products such as glass clocks and bespoke silver jewellery, soap and original paintings, wrought iron products, biscuit kits, wood turned objects, leather bound notebooks, jointed teddies, cards and much more. 10am – 3.30pm. Free entry.

St. George’s Day Activities, Bodiam Castle,

Hadlow Spring Concert, St Mary's Church, Hadlow A rousing concert from the Royal Tunbridge Wells Orpheus Male Voice Choir will be performed to raise money for Hospices of Hope and Chyps charities. This well-respected and inspirational Kentish choir, finalists in the 2010 Top Choir Kent competition, will be performing a varied programme of popular pieces including spiritual, blues, folk, classical, popular, hymns and shows. This charity event is organised by Hadlow College. Tickets £8, to be purchased in advance.
