Places to visit The Mill Toy & Pedal Car Museum.
The record-breaking Mill Toy & Pedal Car Museum in Northiam is the latest attraction to become a Wonder of the Weald. It is housed in a former flour mill overlooking the Kent & East
Sussex Railway in Northiam and includes some rare and unusual pedal cars such as vehicles from Bugatti, Jaguar, Maserati, Mercedes, Lotus and Triumph, and there is a large selection of tin plate and die cast toys on display.
It recently entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the
largest collection of pedal-powered model vehicles, and consists of 400 models.
The museum will be open every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,

Penshurst Place and Gardens
Penshurst Place has
something to offer all the family with the recreation of historic events, children’s story telling, crafts and nearly seven centuries of history. The house and grounds are open daily, from March 29 to November 3, 10.30am – 6pm.
Special events for 2013 include: Easter Holiday Fun Friday on March 29 and Spring Holiday Fun on May 25 – June 2.

Kent & East Sussex Railway The ten-and-a-half mile line running from Tenterden
to Bodiam is the country’s finest example of a rural light railway. Whether you are interested in heritage, shopping, or recreation the Kent & East Sussex Railway has something for all the family to enjoy.
They have a full programme of events throughout the
year suitable for all ages including an Easter egg hunt and quiz between March 29 and April 1, Kids for a Quid from April 2 - 12 and step back in time with a 1940s weekend on May 18 – 19.
The Real Ale and Cider Festival at Tenterden station is on June 15. This popular event has live music, BBQ and a fine selection of ales. On June 16 treat dad to a nostalgic Fathers’ Day ride on one of the special trains.

Chiddingstone Castle Chiddingstone Castle re-opens to
visitors on Sundays to Wednesdays on March 29 until Wednesday, October 30. The tearoom and gift shop are open throughout this period, but admission to these does not require an entry ticket to the castle.
The informal 35-acre gardens are open to visitors, while the castle contains
fascinating Egyptian and Japanese armour collections. There is a programme of special events for 2013 including: Wedding Fair, Sunday June 2; Fathers’ Day, Sunday June 16; Japanese Day, Sunday July 7.
