STEP BY STEP
Step 1: Dig the soil well to break up any large clumps and remove any weed roots.
Step 2: Add some garden compost to the soil to improve fertility and moisture retention.
Step 3: Rake the surface to leave it fine and level, ideal for sowing seeds.
Step 4: If you are unable to begin sowing right away, use fabric membrane to control weeds.
Step 5: Warm the soil with cloches and other such items – your seeds will germinate quicker and they will protect young plants.
Step 6: Insert garden canes where plants will need support and mark out your planting plan.
