Built Green Custom Homes Earns Professional Designations Company-Wide
C
harlie Watts with Built Green Custom Homes has understood the value of GHBA designations
from the first time he learned that the association offers 12 of them, and all are NAHB certified. When he discovered that he could receive the Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation in com- bination with the ultimate symbol of the building professional, the Graduate Master Builder (GMB) designation, he knew he had hit on a huge advantage that saved time and money, while elevating his employees to the highest standard.
“I immediately signed nine of my folks up for the designation courses that allowed us to wrap up the certification process for both designations in just one year,” Charlie said. “These designations show our clients that not only are we committed to continuing education within our industry, we are professionals within the industry.”
Charlie enrolled his superintendents, consultants and sales personnel. Between them they earned five GMBs and seven CGPs.
How Can YOU Take Advantage of This Opportunity Too?
The ultimate symbol of the building professional, the Graduate Master Builder (GMB) designation is reserved for expe- rienced veterans only. To earn the GMB designation you must have 10 years of building experience and have completed numerous Master Level courses. Graduate Master Builder courses are more ad- vanced with in-depth instruction geared for experienced building professionals.
When your customer hires a Graduate Master Builder, they can expect an experienced builder committed to deliv- ering a quality custom home. The GMB designation is voluntarily earned and not required by law. The certifications provide benchmarks of professional achievement owners can use to measure their builder’s commitments to excellence.
