HBA members can be proud of the fact that they have been respon- sible for millions of dollars worth

of donations to the GHBA’s oldest char- ity, the Benefit Homes Project. Because of these donations, the Benefit Homes Project is entering 2013 with over $8 mil- lion raised for Houston area charities.

Texas Children’s Hospital has received proceeds from the project for 25 years, the Alzheimer’s Association has been a beneficiary for 18 years and HomeAid Houston, also a GHBA charity, has re- ceived proceeds for six years.

Every year, two to three homes are built for the fundraiser with donated materials, labor and services by GHBA members. The homes represent some of the most luxurious designs available on the market and are built in prime

Lennar/Village Builders will be soon be announcing the home they are building for the project, and Bridgeland will announce where the lot they are donating will be located within the community.

Call for 2013 BHP Teams

A second builder/developer team will also be needed for 2013. Benefit Homes’ builders receive hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of public relations throughout the construction and sales process of the home. Their vendors also receive publicity and recognition. “The Benefit Homes Project is a win-win for the builders, the charities, the homebuyers and the vendors and trades,” said Don Klein.
