MOBILE CLIMATE CONTROL MCC Eco353 www.mcc-hvac.com The Eco353 rooftop HVAC system provides reliability and performance in a lightweight and narrow package designed for R-134a and developed for school buses. The system of- fers versatility for both OEM and end users with its lightweight micro-channel condenser coils, single- and dual-loop versions, SAE J1128 compliant wiring and permanent magnet and brushless motor options.

RIFLED AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS Skirt-Mounted Condensers with Weather Pack Connections www.rifledair.com RAC Skirt Mounted Condens- ers have been upgraded to Weather Pack Connections, which are environmentally sealed electrical connections designed to withstand expo- sure to extreme temperatures and moisture, the company said. Terminals are tin-plat- ed and have core wings that allow crimp-only connections, eliminating the need for solder. The connector and cavity seals are triple-ribbed and made of self-lubricating silicone.

THERMO KING BE-550 Evaporator www.thermoking.com The new Thermo King BE-550 lightweight bulkhead evapora- tor for small to mid-size school bus applications may help enhance passenger comfort in vehicles where headroom clearance is an issue. The BE- 550 can be mounted in the front, rear or bulkhead areas of a vehicle. The company said the new evaporator is about 40 percent smaller and 20 percent lighter yet provides greater capacity.

SPHEROS CLIMATE SYSTEMS LLC Arcticsphere www.spheros.us The Arcticsphere Split A/C system that is designed for school buses can be config- ured to match vehicle appli- cation requirements. Three in-wall and three ceiling-mount evaporators offer a cooling capacity of up to 70,000 BTUs per hour. They are configured with high-performance skirt- or rooftop-mounted condensers to ensure low system pressure and high cooling capacity, stat- ed the company.

AMERICAN COOLING TECHNOLOGY Universal mount www.actusa.us.com ACT will release a new family of skirt-mounted condensers for full production beginning March 1. The new universal mount (CS-2, CS-32 and CS-3) provides a universal mount- ing pattern that allows the flexibility to select the best bolt pattern for the specific vehicle.
