America’s Horse in Art

America’s Horse, December 18, 2012 - Ameri- ca’s Horse in Art Show & Sale will return in August 2013 to the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum. Each year, one artist is given the great honor of being selected as the show’s signature artist. The signature artist for the sixth annual America’s Horse in Art is Earl Kuhn of Medicine Lodge, Kansas.

“I am honored to announce Earl Kuhn as the 2013 America’s Horse in Art signature artist,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway Jr. “The American Quarter Horse has long been a focus of Western art, and we appreciate having a great Western artist like Earl headlining our art show.”

The show’s signature artist creates a piece of art that becomes the visual representation of the show for that year. The piece is featured on print and online marketing materials and also as a print when available online.

Kuhn is currently creating the work of art that will be used as the signature piece. His watercolors depict our great ranching heritage, featuring the cowboy, his livestock and the land- scapes surrounding them. Kuhn has received numerous awards, participated in several art shows and has had his work featured on the cov- ers of various publications including America’s Horse.
