Micro Loan Fund
Micro and Social Enterprise Loans are now also available for smaller scale start up projects and social enterprise projects. Loans of between £1,000 and £5,000 repayable over three years can now be accessed through East Renfrewshire Credit Union.
Normally, we will require a business plan (please contact Business Gateway for support in developing this) and a completed application form to access these funds for viable projects.

Training Support
Business training and skills is a grant to assist with funding of skills training which will support the development of strategic business skills such as management development, business planning, financial management & IT.
This funding is discretionary and should lead to direct business improvements or wider economic benefits such as additional job creation. To be eligible you must be running a business within the East Renfrewshire area. The maximum grant we offer is 50% of eligible costs.

Grant Support Property Support
Property Support Grant is available to businesses for modification, alteration, refurbishment or expansion of their property, which also includes land, access, roads, boundary walls and fences, demolition and landscaping works. Retail premises are excluded.
The aim of the project is to improve both the economic and environmental conditions of the area by supporting private investment with public money, with the longer term objective of retaining and creating jobs.
6 LEADER
LEADER is part of the Scotland Rural Development Programme, aimed at promoting economic and community development within rural areas and encourages new and experimental approaches to rural development.
Grant funding is available to support projects based within the rural community (Neilston, Uplawmoor, Eaglesham and Waterfoot) which support the council’s economic development and rural development strategies.
