Business Improvement Districts (BIDS)
BID’s aim to create a business-led programme of investment to tackle issues identified by businesses, with the aim of increasing the number of people shopping, visiting, working and investing in a particular location. Currently, there is one operational BID in Clarkston which was established after a positive vote by the businesses in Clarkston. It is hoped to increase this number in the future with one prospective BID in Giffnock.
