Antarctica - Antarctica - Argentina
Antarctic Circle
A voyage into the Antarctic Circle will take you as far south as the ice will allow. Our small ships allow access to this inhospitable and impossibly beautiful area, which only the lucky few will ever see. Imagine being encircled in rookeries of chinstrap, Adélie and gentoo penguins, so close to colossal glaciers and icebergs towering above you.
Voyage itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Ushuaia. Your evening is at leisure. Day 2 Board your expedition ship in the afternoon, after having time to explore Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Days 3 to 4 Cross the Drake Passage; on the second day, you’ll cross the Antarctic Convergence, where cold polar and warmer equatorial waters mix, attracting a variety of seabirds and whales.
Days 5 to 6 Antarctica is home to the world’s greatest concentration of wildlife. Encounter penguin rookeries on two shore landings a day, and see Weddell, crabeater and leopard seals, plus orca, humpback and minke whales in the cold Antarctic waters.
Days 7 to 8 Push ever further south where few travellers have ventured. Following in the footsteps of early explorers, our ice-strengthened vessel will hopefully take you across the Polar Circle, into remotest and wildest Antarctica.
Days 9 to 11 Continue your exploration of the peninsula and South Shetland Islands.
Days 12 to 13 Head north across the Drake Passage. Day 14 Disembark in Ushuaia in the morning.
