The ultimate Arctic voyage, combining the contrasting landscapes of Spitsbergen, Greenland and Iceland. Spend time in Spitsbergen in search of polar bears and other Arctic wildlife, before crossing to the wild, desolate shores of Greenland and crowning your expedition with a visit to the Land of Fire and Ice, Iceland.
Voyage itinerary
Day 1 Embark on your expedition ship in the afternoon and depart Longyearbyen in the evening.
Days 2 to 3 Search for the unique wildlife that inhabits Svalbard’s Arctic wilderness including polar bears, walruses and Svalbard’s species of reindeer, smaller than its southern relatives, but still carrying impressive antlers.
Days 4 to 5 Cross the Greenland Sea; orca, humpback and minke whales, plus white-beaked dolphins, feed here in the summer months.
Days 6 to 11 In the remote and untouched landscape of eastern Greenland, look for wildlife such as walruses, seals, narwhals, polar bears, muskoxen, wolves, foxes, Arctic hares, lemmings and a variety of birds. Your southward journey will culminate in Scoresbysund, the largest fjord system in the world.
Days 12 to 13 Sail to Reykjavik, capital of Iceland. The view is often complemented by soaring fulmars, kittiwakes, gannets, guillemots and razorbills.
Day 14 Disembark in Reykjavik in the morning.
