The further north you sail, the more ice you’ll meet… and this will gradually build up into large ice fl oes with seals resting in the sunlight; perfect for photography. This is polar bear country, a remote wilderness where the King of the Arctic takes control and hunts for food. Explore the north-west coastline in-depth.
Voyage itinerary
Days 1 & 2 Explore Longyearbyen before boarding your vessel. Day 3 Head south along the west coast and explore the majestic scenery of Hornsund.
Day 4 Enjoy a Zodiac cruise at Bellsund, including beautiful Varsolbukta.
Day 5 Head to the Kongsfjord, the largest fjord on the north-west coast of Spitsbergen. You can expect to see mountain peaks, huge glaciers and large tundra plains.
Day 6 Sail towards Liefdefjorden, cruising near the fi ve km-long face of the impressive Monaco Glacier. The waters of the glacier front are a favourite feeding spot for thousands of kittiwakes and on previous voyages, polar bears have been seen on the glacier, providing wonderful opportunities for photography.

Day 8 Explore the bird cliffs of Alkhornet with thousands of Brünnich’s guillemots.
