Angela founded Premier Resources in 1999 in the midst of an economic downturn. Premier Resources has grown from a single employee to a cur- rent team of 9 employees and enjoys a reputation of ethics, integrity and consistency in ability to deliver top tier talent for metro Charlotte business- es. Premier Resources supports local, national and international companies, specializing in administrative/corporate support, accounting/finance, insur- ance, sales & service, HR and legal placement. They also conduct specialized searches for more unique positions for the clients they serve. Recognizing an opportunity to provide quality staffing for the healthcare community including hospitals, medical facilities and companies that serve the health- care community, Key founded Premier Healthcare Resources in the spring of 2007, on the first year anniversary of her diagnosis with breast cancer and in the midst of 15 months of chemo. Premier Healthcare Resources is unique in that it specializes in placement of both clinical and non-clinical support, offering temporary/per diem, contract to hire and direct place- ment staffing solutions. PHR supports hospitals, healthcare facilities, private practice and companies that serve the healthcare community. Lorena recently joined Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and has already made a significant impact. She continues to provide education outlets to the employees. Constantly educating the public through programs with local departments, schools and reaching the underprivileged in the community, Lorena is at the forefront of instilling a healthy and knowledgable environ- ment. Lorena has already given the nurses internet sites to increase their knowledge and promote a better understanding of the medical field. She formed and provides the “Daisy Award” to nurses throughout the year that show their involvement and commitment within the facility and commu- nity. Lorena does not give recognition to herself as a person making things happen, but gives recognition to her staff. She most recently served as Chief Nursing Officer at IASIS Healthcare - St. Luke’s Medical Center and Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital in Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona, where she was responsible for the areas of emergency room, nursing services, including ICU, Tele, med/surg, and geropsych, customer service relations, wound care, education, acute re- hab, infection control, environmental services, and the ancillary services of lab, radiology, physical therapy, pharmacy, medical imaging and environmental services. Lorena Silva received her MBA, MSN-L, and BSN from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz. She received her Associate Degree in Arts-Nursing from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D.
