and the straight off the back center of the head (think Kim Kardashian). The New York runways saw ponytails flaunting their stuff in more than a few designer shows.
The two most prolific looks seem to be sleek and tightly pulled or (and here comes a preview of another trend) teased and bouffant either in the crown or slightly above the pony- tail base toward the back of the head. This simply dresses up a regular pony for a little more “umph”.
Admittedly, the trend is a very straight, flat ironed pony, but still, what kind of
saving grace is that? Just being able to put your hair in a ponytail and be considered chic and trendy.
Since I’ve already “teased” you a bit about the next big thing for fall, we will travel into the land of bouffant next. Now, when I say bouffant, I mean full out teas- ing the crown into a retro sixties ‘do.
The range can be anywhere from Doris Day to Bridget Bardot but the key to this particular version is the accessory. No longer is a giant can of AquaNet all that’s needed. In the .12 version, be- jeweled headbands or decorative clips are of ultra importance when finishing
