Assessments. Such an assessment is often used for management level em- ployees, though this can also be just as beneficial for other employees. A 360 Assessment pulls information and ob- servations from all those connected to an employee: supervisor, peers, subor- dinates, customers, vendors, etc.


Through this type of assessment a comprehensive picture develops on all aspects of an employee’s skills and capabilities. However, it needs to be emphasized that stopping with the “as-


sessment” is a BIG mistake. Once you learn of shortcomings, weaknesses, or excessive behaviors, a program should be developed, using a coach or trainer to help this employee to resolve these issues, making him/her a much more valuable employee than before.
