13 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Kathmandu. Day 2 Kathmandu Have a trek briefi ng and enjoy a guided tour of the old city including Asan Bazaar and Durbar Square. Day 3 Lukla Fly to the starting point of the trek. Meet the Sherpa guides and hike along the Dudh Kosi River to Phakding. Days 4/5 Namche Bazaar Enter Everest National Park and climb to Namche Bazaar. Relax and acclimatise in the Sherpa town in the afternoon. Day 6 Thame Continue along the trail to Thame (3800m), home to many Everest record breakers. Visit monasteries along the route.

Day 7 Khumjung Trek to the largest village in the Khumbu region. Visit a monastery said to display a Yeti scalp. Day 8 Thyangboche Reach the highest point of the trek (3867m) for views of mighty Mount Everest. Days 9/10 Lukla Return to Lukla. Optional visit to Sir Edmund Hillary’s school en route. Days 11/12 Kathmandu Fly back to the capital. Free time to relax or visit the Pashupatinath Temple and Bodnath stupa. Day 13 Tour ends Kathmandu.
