HARVESTERS – TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
ADVISOR Remote to read diagnostic codes, record machine performance readings, and even update software without a trip to the job site.
Another new feature on the 1270E and 1470E models is TimberMatic H-12 software, a PC- based control system that provides operators machine data at their fingertips to help keep their equipment running smoothly. Operators also have the option to add GPS work sight navigation for improved fleet management. A new, easy-to-use operator interface and menu can be modified by the owner to meet each operator’s skill level and needs, leaving visible only the functions and adjustments the operator uses. In addition to JDLink’s capabilities, TimberLink gathers additional machine condition and productivity information from the machine’s TimberMatic H-12 control system. TimberLink
generates reports that enable fine-tuning of the machine for consistency and high productivity, while the operator report provides even more detailed information with regard to other harvester operators working under similar conditions and serves as an excellent tool to assist with operator training and skill development. “JDLink, TimberMatic H-12 and
TimberLink team up to provide a powerful approach to machine control and allow for quick problem solving, keeping equipment running at optimal performance levels,” Caudill said. “With an advanced hydraulics system, innovative engine technology and enhanced equipment control system, these machines promise high levels of productivity and efficiency.” Customers can look for the new 1270E and 1470E IT4 forestry machines in Europe as early as July this year.
