TECHNOLOGY REVIEW – LIFTING & LOADING
The scale is mounted between the crane boom and rotator, but mounting between rotator and grab is also possible
weighing is not affected by the surrounding temperature. It is also mechanically overload protected and protected against the torque of the rotator.
Monitor
The monitor can be an onboard computer (Windows CE), where all data are logged and which can be equipped with GPS and GPRS hardware/software. Data can also be downloaded to a PC using a simple USB stick. BT printer is also an option. Intermercato has also developed an interface for Windows-based PCs. The interface is connected to the USB port and the PC is used as a monitor.
Marketing and applications Intermercato’s scales are already used worldwide, with the biggest market being Germany. Apart from Scandinavia, scales are in operation in North and South America, China, Australia, and New Zealand. The applications are mainly forestry and recycling (scrap handling)
Unique construction The unique construction of the scales, combining a very sensitive load cell with a robust
construction, made it possible to enter the scrap handling sector, where the scales are exposed to extremely harsh operation

The Indexator Balance brings a new level of functionality and durability
Fellow Swede, Indexator is one of the world´s leading manufacturers of rotators for forestry, general cargo and material handling. The company produces large, powerful rotators designed for the most demanding work tasks but also produces small rotators for lighter work.

conditions. More than 100 scales have been mounted on material handlers like Liebherr, Fuchs, Sennebogen etc. The scales are also used for mounting on cargo cranes, especially in recycling.
The weighing by Intermercato scales is performed automatically “Indexator is a quality factory,”
Vice President Gunnar Bålfors said. “Every process in the factory is permeated with quality thinking. The rotators shall always, at the very least, meet the costumers requirements and expectations. “To lead the way in innovation demands a solid knowledge, which is exactly what the employees at Indexator have. Innovation and unique solutions make Indexator the leader of the technical development in their line of business.
“At Indexator, we are well
aware of the often tough reality in which products have to work and function, but we’re also responsive to changing needs,” Bålfors continued. “Indexator has a unique research and testing facility, which is used to systematically verify product designs and production techniques, as well as to test new technical concepts. Indexator’s research is applied in a way that ensures that the end result can be put into practice immediately. Their material experts, designers and production technicians work side-by-side. “Production technology is
important, but it is the employees who have the lead role in the quality of our work.”
Y-link
Indexator has a new designed link that increases the protection of hydraulic hoses. The ambition is to establish a new standard for safe and functional hose routing. The Y-link will result in increased control of hose movements. Some of the advantages with the patent pending solution: • Well-protected hose routing • Increased control of hose movements
• Enables full swing angles • Reduced risk for leakage, which is good for the environment and operator alike
