Training
We are a friendly, professional western training establishment catering for all disciplines and levels of horse and rider. Whether your horse is for competition or for just plain riding enjoyment, we aim to get the best out of them and to make your riding more safe and enjoyable so that you can have as much fun as possible.
Starting
All horses are started bitless. Once they have a good understanding of flexion, pressure, basic lateral exercises, and when they can walk trot and canter in a relaxed manner, we will introduce the bit.
Facilities
Based at international judge Bob Mayhew’s facility in Hampshire, we have fabulous facilities including the UK’s largest outdoor reining arena, indoor reining school, round pen, all year turnout and hacking.
Instruction
Michael is a WES Approved Instructor and is always just a phone call away. We offer clinics and one on one instruction for all levels and abilities. We also embrace all breeds of horse – there are no breed-specific prejudices here!
CPD
We know that to be good and stay good you need to keep educating yourself. Michael himself attends clinics with renowned western horsemen and has made recent visits to Al Dunning and Mike McEntire’s facilities in the US to train.
