The Gas City’s New Concept Rentals provides the oil, gas and construction industries with power units, light towers, office-use trailers and full washroom facilities.
Owner Garth Schlenker says his equipment is designed to make location set-up efficient, if not enjoyable.
“The mobile washroom facilities are completely self-contained units equipped with both potable and grey water, running water, hand soap/ sanitizer dispensers, towels and have emergency showers. All they need is one 240-volt plug.”
The washrooms have a total setup time of 10 minutes and can be moved easily around a site or transported to different sites. Also designed to make site set-up a breeze for drillers, New Concept light towers are easy to use and cast a beam of 1/2 mile (1 kilometre).

minutes and the mast is extended to 30 feet and you’re ready to go.”
New Concept is proud to offer a wide line of diesel-powered generators as well. Schlenker says his generators can be transported to any site and are available to anyone who would require an independent power source.
“They eliminate power surges from the rig (to the shacks) and in the event that the rig leaves before the shacks, they’ll still have a power source. The fuel capacity on the units lasts longer than what the rig can and they are all equipped with 200 amp panels, and anywhere from 6-12 240 volt/30 amp plugs.”
With the ability for 7-10 hours of consecutive running time, the skid- mounted generators fill the needs of any drilling/frac project. And, Schlenker says, warmer weather brings with it graduations, outdoor weddings and auction sales for which his equipment is the perfect fit.

McPhee says his fleet, 3-13 cubic meter tank trucks, are equipped with flow meters and chart recorders.
