Southern Rewind gears up for spring Stacey Lee
With spring on the horizon, Southern Rewind is ready to service the oil/gas industry, as well as southeastern Alberta’s irrigation related needs.
President Dwayne Graham says Southern Rewind has an extensive history of sales and service, capable of rebuilding any size or type of pump.
“Whether it is a turbine pump, centrifugal pump, or a yard irrigation pump…. Any size any shape, we can tackle it.”
Graham said some common applications include usage on drilling sites for the movement of all kinds of fluids and that they are all driven by an electric motor of some kind. That is Southern Rewind’s specialty.
“We do deliver, we do pick up… if a customer requires. The turn-around time depends on what kind of job it is, but we do have a 24-hour service… you can reach us day or night,
and we are willing to work day and night to meet a customer's specific needs.”
Southern Rewind has also successfully delved into the world of sustainable energy, and has been servicing the specialized motors that power wind turbines on southern Alberta wind farms.
“We are doing a lot of work on them right now and we plan on expanding our shop in the very near future so we can handle even larger wind generation equipment.”
Graham admits that Southern Rewind has found success in servicing that sector and finds the expansion of service encouraging because it goes hand-in-hand with its oilfield related business.
