he annual Stroke Awareness event ganised by the Rotary Club of

or-

Hornchurch & Upminster, working with the support of the Trinity United Reformed Church, took place at the end of April even though cold rain was predicted, and in a month that had the highest rain fall in history (during a drought)...

hanks must go to all the people who help the members to undertake all the tasks involved in this highly popular event.

ortunately the rain did not keep the public away as the doctors were kept busy all

day, thanks to the efforts of Rotarians standing

outside in the rain and directing the public into the Church where they were met first by Jan & Ann from the Havering Inner Wheel Club and then introduced to the four Rotarian Doctors for their tests. They checked 162 people with 56 referred for a routine check with their GP (34.6%) and 7 for urgent attention (4.3%).

nce again, a highly successful event worthy of supporting and repeating for

the benefit of the community in which we all live.

he Clubs four Doctors did a great job as did all the Members who turned out to

help in the rain.
