n Thursday 8th. March two teams from our club attended the District

s you can see from the figures the Hornchurch and Upminster 'A'


Team (Ron and Katy, Ray and Sylvia, George and Janet) were the strongest and held everybody else up.


he 'B' team (Ken and


Sonia,Gerry and Lynn and Jim- Pat wisely threw a sicky) fared a lot better by a good 20 points but still failed to reach the dizzy heights of Romford with their 98 points.

s they say "It is not the win-


ning it is the tak- ing part....blaa blaa blaa " . We soon wised up to the fact that this was 'quizzing' at a serious level and were somewhat relieved that we stood no chance of going through to the next round.
