Race Night Windmill Theatre 4-Feb-2012
O I I
h weren’t we lucky on the Race Night? The Gods must have been
with us. If the snow had come four hours earlier, the whole event would have been a disaster. I am pleased to say it wasn’t and everyone who attended had a great evening.
would like to give a huge thank you to the many people who helped to
make the Race Night the success it was on the lead up to and on the actual day. There are too many people to name individually, but I am sure you know who you all are. THANK YOU.
was particularly pleased with the number of advertisements that were
placed in the programme and most of the horses had a sponsor. The tickets sales were very good, after a slow start, and once again we had a successful raffle due to the generosity of the members and friends who always come up trumps, With plenty of tickets being sold on the tote and likewise for the raffle we can be very pleased with the outcome of a very pleasant evening, even if many people were casting

worried glances at the snow which was beginning to settle outside.
W
e hurried the proceedings along a bit towards the end, due to the
snow, and the hall was cleared in very quick time as people were very keen to get going. As it was the snow was not too bad, and everybody got away without any trouble and - as far as we know - got home safely.
