resonating positively with the target audience. Fourteen year old St Matthew Academy students Armani Quarrington-Gray and Chiedza Sharon Rusenza both aspire to run their own businesses one day.

“I have taken part in several enterprise programmes at my school where I have learnt skills that I am sure will help me in life,” Armani says. “I would like my business to offer young people music and fashion courses and experience so they can learn vital life skills.”

“I believe that we can make black girls become more independent in the business world,” Chiedza says. “From the business and enterprise events I’ve taken part in I’ve learnt to never give up. Don’t let anybody put you down and work hard to achieve the best.”

“It is vitally important to find role models who emanate passion, commitment and can share their stories of success through hard work and endeavour,” Mr Nirsimloo, concludes. “For young girls aspiring to succeed, nothing beats meeting a living breathing woman entrepreneur. Realising not only do they share the same colour but they also share the same desire to succeed in the future is invaluable.”.
