“We look to hire based on desire, attributes, commitment and background”
great way of finding out more about the contenders for a job. As I said before, with SME’s there is often little scope for getting an appointment wrong and an audition process can help businesses make the most informed decision they can. It saves you taking a punt on someone you are not entirely certain on by allowing them to showcase what they can offer a business.
With Raw Talent Academy we work with a lot of SME’s to help them recruit and I often find that there is an apprehension amongst some companies about using a recruitment agency. Obviously they cost but the benefits far outweigh the price. SME’s should not be afraid of recruiters, for their money they are getting experienced people that know what they’re looking for. One of the most important aspects is that it allows time for the heads of small businesses to do their job properly.
Lee McQueen is the former winner of The Apprentice who now runs Raw Talent Academy.
In small companies, time is of the essence and agile companies cannot allow themselves to take their eye off the ball even for one minute. A good recruiter will take all the pressure off an employer to not only source the best candidates, but also allow them to concentrate their efforts on the job they are paid to do.
In the current economic climate, companies do not have money to burn and recruitment is more important than ever. Never underestimate the importance of recruiting and make sure you invest the right time and resource to find the best talent to progress your company.
