Roofing WINNER BRIGGS AMASCO
BriggsAmasco is a specialist national roofi ng and waterproofi ng contractor operating from 11 branches throughout the UK, with its head offi ce in the West Midlands. Its 200 operatives hold CSCS

the roof of a large distribution warehouse in Cheshire for client Excel Europe. The replacement fl at roof had to be waterproof and robust, so BriggsAmasco specifi ed 56,000 m² of Sarnafi l single ply roofi ng system as part of the £1.3 million contract. The warehouse was to be used
by logistics specialist DHL and DIY retailer B&Q. The massive roof incorporated Sarnafi l’s S327-12EL membrane in light grey to provide

a lightweight yet watertight roofi ng solution. The BriggsAmasco installation
team used the fl exibility of this mechanically fastened single ply membrane, enabling a smooth and effi cient installation on to the existing roof covering with a Sarnafi l Type T Separating Fleece layer laid beneath. The 320-strong company has,
since 1994, been developing strategic partnerships with leading suppliers to help provide customers with the best and most technically appropriate solutions. Now more than 90 per cent of the company’s purchasing needs are met by just 30 supply partners. BriggsAmasco’s accounts
manager develops and maintains partnering relationships on a national basis with all of key customers. The company off ers a range of extended credit terms with its preferred suppliers, while key customers receive the best terms available and benefi t from
having their own dedicated credit control manager. In the past 12 months some
504 days have been allocated to individual staff and operative training both on site and at the company’s dedicated training centre in the West Midlands. The company has a policy of
promotion from within, and supports employees in vocational and educational training. BriggsAmasco has also been
accepted under the Safecontractor scheme for its ongoing commitment to health and safety and continues to have one of the best training records for new apprentices and other key employees in the industry. In the past 12 months,
BriggsAmasco carried out some 1,200 contracts varying in value from £1,000 to £3.7m. Turnover has increased 10 per
