N&C Nicobond have joined forces with The Tile Association, as well as other industry organisations, to pledge support for the maintaining of technical stan- dards and facilitating transparency within the tile industry through sponsoring the International Standards Organisation Committee Plenary Meeting to be hosted here in the UK. Initially the meeting was due to take place in Japan, but after the disastrous tsunami struck the nation, Japan was forced to withdraw their support to host the meeting. The UK Tile Association stepped in with the support of N&C Nicobond and other industry members to ensure the vital meeting to discuss new and maintaining existing standards affecting the inter- national tile industry went ahead. Carpet Recycling UK – Sustainable innovation
Exciting and innovative new ways of reusing carpet materials and offcuts will be showcased by Carpet Recycling UK on Stand S20 at Ecobuild 2012. A full information-packed CRUK seminar programme on Thursday 22 March will highlight the latest cutting-edge progress on treating recovered carpet as a rich new resource for novel products and high-end applications. Three popular seminar sessions will focus on sustainable practices supported by CRUK, the industry-backed association for waste carpet reuse and recycling, in its third appearance at the ExCel show. Starting at 11am, the seminars will feature senior industry figures and leading floor- ing manufacturers sharing their knowledge on the latest research and development into
advanced recycling and reprocessing techniques.

Lakes Bathrooms moves to new premises
Continued growth for shower specialist Lakes Bathrooms has seen the company relocate to new, significantly larger premises. The move doubles the space for Lakes Bathrooms to a total 60,000 square feet and consolidates its four existing Gloucestershire sites into one. Still based at Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, Lakes Bathrooms is now adjacent to the M5 motorway, in a modern building that combines office and warehouse space for the full range of shower enclosures and associated products: the Coastline collection, the Classic collection, shower trays and the Safety and Comfort range. “Sustained business growth and the overwhelming success of our new Coastline Collection means that we need much more space,” said Robin Craddock, man- aging director of Lakes Bathrooms: “In the last year we have launched Coastline and two new ranges of shower trays. We’ve also added to our hugely popular Classic collection. The breadth of our portfolio of products and the volume of demand means that we continue to invest in significant stock- holding; essential to ensure we can keep our 24/48 hour delivery service across the UK.
