Now in its 35th year, the annual Grand Prairie Stompede features everything you’d expect from a traditional rodeo celebration. Tere’s live music, a beer gardens, a sensational miss Stompede pageant, a midway, and the renowned chuckwagon races. And, of course, there’s the main attraction: pro rodeo events from bull riding to steer wrestling. Te event takes place at Grand

fill up fast. Some hotels offer special Stompede rates during rodeo weekend. Te Grande Prairie Stompede is
facilitated mostly by volunteers who all have the same goal in mind – provide a first-class, entertaining and exciting event highlighted by professional rodeo and chuckwagon racing. Stompede allows local chuckwagon drivers and professional rodeo competitors to showcase their talents in their own back yard and, ultimately, promotes both sports in the Peace Country so young people are inspired to keep the tradition going. Stompede is entering its 35th year
and has typically been the first show of the year for chuckwagon racing and the first big event of the outdoor season for the pro rodeo competitors. Te Stompede - a not-for-profit organization, is made up of 13 directors and four executive members. All proceeds go back to the community. Over the years Stompede has provided
thousands of dollars for improvements and projects within the city. Events you can expect to see at the Grand Prairie Stompede:
