WASHINGTON CASCADE LOOP

a scenic route, just a few hours drive from the bustling cities and urban
spreads in Washington and British Columbia, the remote wilderness and weathered peaks of the North Cascade Range offer a taste of the Alaskan Mountain Range and the Alps for the price of a weekend trip to the Northwest Coast. The spectacular scenery of these
mountains is carved from equally spectacular geology. The steep cliffs, abundant brush, and long trails that guard the North Cascade peaks have their geologic counterparts, but scientists have spent many decades
puzzling over some of the geologic history of the range. This complexity is part of what makes the range so visually stunning. The Cascade Loop begins at sea
level, in the bustling port city of Everett, Washington. Everett itself is just 28 miles north of Seattle via Interstate 5. There are hundreds of geocache
locations surrounding the Cascade Loop Scenic Highway. It’s not a far stretch to combine your geocaching with the prevalent stunning scenery, incredible recreational activities and comfortable lodging. There are many ways to enjoy yourself before
and after you find your caches! Everett is home to the Boeing Airplane Assembly plant, several microbreweries, waterfront restaurants, museums, galleries and all of the cultural amenities expected of a large metropolitan area, but without the high prices. Hotel room prices in Everett are up to 40% less than those in Seattle. Visit the waterfront to shop, dine or stroll the marina boardwalk while enjoying the magnificent views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Refresh your sense of wonder along the 440-mile Scenic Byway
