The recent approval of the Southern Pine Inspection Bureau’s (SPIB) new design values for visually graded Southern Pine lumber by the American Lumber Standard Committee Board of Review has generated many questions among producers and customer groups. 14 "Of the Year" Awards Presented at Extravaganza 2012


The Greater Houston Builders Association recently announced its 2011 “Of the Year” awards for the top Production Builder, Custom Builder, Developer and Remodeler. Presidential Citations were also announced. The event also included the installation of incoming GHBA President Will Holder and his 2012 board of directors.


18 Benefit Homes Update


Chesmar Homes is constructing its fourth home for the annual Greater Houston Builders Association Benefit Homes Project, a fundraiser that benefits three Houston charities. Chesmar is building the Apollo Plan on a homesite donated by NewQuest in the community of The Reserve at Brazos Town Center.
