Each year, two homes are built for the Benefit Homes Project with donated materials, labor and services by GHBA members. The homes are sold at market value and the majority of the proceeds benefit Texas Children’s Cancer Center, the Alzheimer’s Association and HomeAid Houston. Since the Project began 31 years ago, more than $7 million has been raised.
The home is expected to be completed by late spring. A second Benefit Home is also due to begin construction in February. The home is being constructed by Castle Rock Homes in the community of Sterling Lakes. Land Tejas is the developer donating the site.
