EVS will also showcase Sports360°, which it describes as an “all-round solution for coverage of this summer’s fl agship events”, with extended multicam recording capabilities and new 3G connectivity. Cloud casting application C-Cast is designed to give instant access to complementary or exclusive content of live and near-live broadcast programmes on con- nected devices, such as tablets, smartphones and laptops. It can be added to existing EVS live production infrastructure and offers a fully open architecture based on an API that allows broadcasters and media distributors to build their own web interface.

Canon’s stand is likely to draw a sizeable crowd with the UK unveiling of its EOS C300. The 8.3 megapixel Super 35mm-sensor camera, which was launched in Hollywood at the end of last year, is Canon’s fi rst foray into high-end TV and feature fi lm production. Canon will have PF- and EC-mount models on display.
