H
my birthday, as I had a really busy year personally and it was great to be able to forget about everything and let my hair down.
My hero is Michael Jackson so we even had one of the best MJ tribute artists perform at my party. His name is Robert Alexander Giles. He is from the UK and he was brilliant. He was so much like the real MJ. He sounded like him, danced like him and even looked like him. He asked me up to sing and dance with him and of course how could I refuse? haha! It was the best night of my life as I sang a couple of songs myself. Another artist, Sara Lou, had a guitar with her so when I was asked to sing she accompanied me.
I performed an iTunes single (my debut/promo) we had just released to mark me becoming a teenager. The song is called “Hear What I Say” and Greek songwriter Gorgi wrote it for me. He had seen a Youtube video on my managers Facebook page. He rang Noel (Taylor) and told him he wanted to write an original for me. He did and we went in to record and film it in a Dublin studio and after just 3 weeks it had 5,000 plays on youtube, which was really cool. There was no media promo for the single. It was just to mark my birthday, but I was thrilled to see it charting on iTunes and I got a feature by Paddy Murray in one of Ireland’s biggest papers – The Sunday World - and a request to do an in studio interview and performance on Ireland’s national music station 2fm.
For 2012 I am moving on to recording two new original songs in other studios with really great producers. This time the songs will be different and will have full storyboard video’s and proper release and promotion. One of the songs will be recorded in Dublin with an amazing producer/ writer, Billy Farrell, who has worked with artists such internationally successful artists as Westlife, The Corrs, Bonnie Tyler and Brian Kennedy. The second song I am recording will be in London with the great producer/ writer Pete Woodroofe who has worked extensively with many very well know artists, including Def Leppard).
ello! My name is Victoria Cornick, but everyone calls me Vicky. I was born in Dublin, Ireland. It was my 13th birthday on the 14th of January. We had a big party for
