AFTER the success of an Australian tour last year and a sell-out show in Newcastle, Grammy
award-nominated American singer and best- selling author Belinda Carlisle is returning to Wests New Lambton on Wednesday, March 21.
She gained
worldwide recognition as the lead vocalist of the most successful all-girl band the Go-Go’s, who made history as the fi rst all-female music group to write their own songs and play their own instruments to top the Billboard charts. As part of the Go-
Go’s, Belinda Carlisle sold more than seven million albums with such hits as Our Lips are Sealed, We Got the Beat, Vacation, Head over Heels and Can’t Stop the World. She later went on
to a successful solo career that spawned hits such as Mad About You, Summer Rain, I Get Weak, Leave a Light On and Heaven is a Place on Earth, which topped the charts internationally.
