Newie connection to Austrian country sound

A LAKE Macquarie man who fronts one of the biggest Austrian country bands is coming home for a gig. Brett Reid will bring his band, John

Deer, to Belmont Bowling Club on Sunday afternoon, January 29. John Deer was formed in the summer of

2005 by fi ve good friends and musicians who share the love and feeling of country music. Having played in several successful bands and musical projects in Europe and

The band is just about to release its next album, and with festivals planned for Europe, Reid is keen to unleash the music on his countrymen before taking it to the world.
