Charity Golf Day On Wednesday 26th October held at Souillac Golf and Country Club in aid of Cancer Support France (CSF) and a local

church fund. A total of 72 players took part in the shot gun tee off at 12.30 prompt, thanks to the superb organisational skills of club member Bill Andrews. Amongst the players was the Captain of Brive Rugby Club, Antonie Claassen and fellow players Petrus Hauman, Scott Spedding and Pat Barnard.

In the evening more than 100 people were joined by Jamie Noon and Alexandre Bias for dinner. There followed a presentation of prizes, which included, Anne & Mike O'Hara being presented with best team prize. Mike also won the Men’s individual prize; all the more amazing as this couple only took up golf a year or so ago.

During the evening guests were entertained by a local ice sculptor. What was the finished article? A golfer of course! There was also a raffle and an auction of donated prizes; donations included Brive Rugby memorabilia and 2 return flight tickets to UK donated by CityJet.

Susan Evans, Board Secretary and club staff were delighted with the success of the event, which raised over €2500. Souillac Golf and Country Club donated €1500 to Cancer Support France, Dordogne Est & Lot.
