At the time of going to press for the last edition, Dick was expecting a visit from an interesting ‘new- adopter’ but this was happening too late for details to be included. Anyhow just incase anyone has been waiting with baited breath to find out who the new adopter was - we can announce that the new owner of his very own Gascon truffle-tree is Terry Jones of Monty Python fame.
Terry was delighted to visit the region in September and is looking forward to a long and bountiful relationship with his tree.

The tale of two cats
warmth and the lady just could not bear to see them hungry and cold, so she kindly fed them and built them a warm nest at the bottom of her garden. She did not want the kittens but she couldn’t turn her back on them either. These little mites were lucky because the lady knew about Les Amis Des Chats and when the kittens were old enough Les Amis Des Chats paid to have them sterilised and they were given a health check. The cats now live in the lady’s barn, being good mousers. They can play all day long and will never have the worry of kittens of their own. They have been given a chance.
It was a lovely day for a dog walk, but little did she know that it was also a lucky day for two little kittens. It was the day that they followed her home trying desperately with their tiny little legs to keep up with her. The kittens knew that they needed food and
