PROCEEDS FROM SOUTHERN LIVING SHOWCASE HOME BENEFIT HOMEAID
Nearly 4,000 people toured the 5,000 sq. ft. Southern Living Showcase Home built by Morning Star Builders Ltd. in the gated community of Hidden Falls. A portion of the proceeds from tours through the home were presented to HomeAid Houston.
Southern Living carefully selects custom home builders that transcend the pages of the magazine into a dream home. Members are chosen for their extensive experience and knowledge, reputation in the marketplace, and focus on the discriminating customer. A Southern Living Showcase Home
brings the customer emerging design trends, home technology updates and green building techniques.
Morning Star’s Southern Living Showcase home was open to the public for tours in October with an entry fee of $10. Morning Star Builders presented HomeAid with a check for $16,000 that has been earmarked for the upcoming Gracewood project.
This HomeAid project entails a partnership with Legend Homes, which will donate construction management to build a 7,400 sq. ft., five-family residential facility for Gracewood’s Spring Branch location. Gracewood provides housing for mothers and their children who need a safe haven from crisis situations.
